The CP9190 is simple and easy to use. The included OBD I/II cables provide both data and power connections, while the USB cable offers a quick and easy way to connect your scanner to your PC.
In addition to connecting to the computer for Internet updates, you'll also appreciate the CP9190's USB connectivity because it makes printing DTCs and other information a breeze. Once the scanner is connected to your vehicle, the user friendly menu provides a variety of information in a snap. This device displays OBD II enhanced functionality with graph data (1996 and newer), O2 monitor tests, state emissions, and even reads, records and displays live sensor data so you know what's happening with your vehicle as you make adjustments.
Other features include an OBD II code library built right into the tool, an OBD II drive cycle mode, battery power so you can review diagnostic data even when the scanner is disconnected from your vehicle, and a trilingual (English, Spanish, French) mode.
Another important thing to remember is that all emission testing facilities will fail a vehicle that has the "check engine" light illuminated at the time of the test -- even if it is only lit to remind you of a past-due oil change or 60,000-mile tune-up.

I found the 9190 to be a great tool. It provides all the data I was looking for and displays in graph form data streems that I was needing to see.
The Snap On scantools are much more exspensive and the Actron makes looking into ones own car service affordable. Thanks Actron

I brought this product twice as gifts for family memebers. This product is very handy and works great.
Actron CP9190 Elite
Works great. Has already paid for itself in helping to diagnose problems several times. Clear instructions and very easy to use.
All of my vehicles are out of warranty now and I must attempt to repair myself. Being an old shade tree mechanic and not very up to date on the newer systems, this tool has helped me come up to speed.
Most of the dealers and shops around here want at least 75 bucks just for a diagnostic check. At the very least this tool will allow you to see what codes are present and help give you a leg up on those high and mighty service writers at the shops.
